Worship

GOD IS SPIRIT, AND HIS WORSHIPERS MUST WORSHIP IN THE SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH.

JOHN 4:24

WORSHIP

Worship by definition is “homage paid to God, to Jesus Christ, to His saints, to the beings or even to the objects which have a special relation to God”

It is praise and reverence to our Creator and Redeemer. It is what our faith calls us to do as a response for the Love and Grace which God presents to us in our lives. Worship takes many forms: interior, exterior, individual, communal.

St. Thomas More is a community of people who, led by our pastor, Father King, gather to support one another in this special work, and the parish community offers a variety of opportunities for members and newcomers to engage in worship of God the Father and of his Son Jesus Christ.

We gather daily and weekly for Liturgy which is a communal celebration of our faith. These celebrations offer many opportunities for individuals to participate as liturgical ministers. This includes music ministry, Eucharistic ministry, and liturgical service ministry.

Other opportunities for smaller group gatherings are provided throughout the week and month to support our members in their worship. At times, these help families and individuals move through significant life events of transition, loss, mourning, anxiety and celebration.

Saint Thomas More Parish believes in this call and has developed a variety of outreach ministry opportunities for people to become involve in and donate their time and energy to. There are numerous possibilities for people moved by a desire to minister to the needs of others to outreach in our area
