“Whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God. Avoid giving offense, whether to Jews or Greeks or the church of God, just as I try to please everyone in every way, not seeking my own benefit but that of the many, that they may be saved.” 1 Corinthians 10:31-33
We grow and develop within human communities (families, neighborhoods, service organizations, school communities, larger societies, etc.). A significant aspect of that is being around other people who believe as we do in non-educational social situations. We grow and are nourished by being around others socially. Saint Thomas More Parish recognizes this and develops ways that members of the parish can socialize and make connections with one another which strengthen the spiritual ties that bind us into a human family.
“We need to know that the Bible doesn’t require – or even give special blessing to – certain forms of community. Structure is not the point; relationships are.” Community: God’s Design For Growth
